Privacy Notice

This notice describes how Mnr Anton Potgieter (PTY) Ltd ("we") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use PRECISIQ. We act as the data controller for the information described here.

1. What we collect

• Account data: email, hashed password (or Google ID), sign-in timestamps.
• Learning data: courses you create, assessment answers, quiz scores, flashcard reviews, tutor conversations.
• Usage data: pages viewed, features used, device / browser type, IP address for security.
• Support data: messages you send us and flags you submit on graded questions.

Payment card details are collected directly by our payments provider Paddle — we never see or store them.

2. Why we use it (purposes & legal basis)

• To provide the service (contract).
• To secure the service and prevent fraud (legitimate interests).
• To improve accuracy of AI grading and content (legitimate interests).
• To send transactional emails such as receipts and password resets (contract).
• To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

3. Who we share it with

• Paddle — Merchant of Record for payments, subscriptions, tax, invoicing.
• Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — hosting, database, authentication.
• Lovable AI (Google Gemini, OpenAI) — AI model providers processing prompts you submit.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

4. International transfers

Some providers process data outside your country. Where applicable we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's adequacy safeguards.

5. How long we keep data

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons.

6. Your rights

Subject to local law, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing of your personal data. Email support@PRECISIQ.com — we respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database, and audited third-party providers.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics, if enabled, is aggregated and does not identify you.
