Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 11 July 2026
These terms apply to your use of PRECISIQ (the "service"), operated by Mnr Anton Potgieter (PTY) Ltd ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
PRECISIQ provides AI-generated study guides, practice questions, flashcards, and a study tutor for personal educational use. We do not guarantee that generated content is free of errors; you are responsible for verifying anything used for graded work.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be old enough to form a contract in your jurisdiction, or have a parent/guardian's consent.
3. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or to harass others;
- upload malware, probe or scrape the service, or interfere with its security;
- infringe intellectual property or share content you do not have rights to;
- attempt to jailbreak the AI tutor or generate illegal, harmful, or hateful content;
- resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the service.
4. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the service, its software, branding, and documentation. You keep ownership of the content you provide; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the service. AI outputs are provided "as is" โ you are responsible for how you use them and for having rights to any input content.
5. Payment and subscription
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
6. Service level and warranties
We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement).
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. On termination, you may request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it is deleted.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill). Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it.
9. Accuracy of AI content
AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are not a substitute for a qualified teacher and should not be relied on for regulated professional advice.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified via email or in-app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
